Who should give online?
Anyone who would like to give to the mission and ministry of Central Presbyterian Church; gifts can be made as either a one-time donation (Donate button) or set up as a recurring draft from your debit card, credit card, or PayPal account (Pledge button).

Do I have to be a member to give online?
No, we welcome gifts to the ministry and mission of Central from both members and friends.

Is my online giving secure?
Yes it is! Central uses PayPal for our online giving resource. PayPal is one of the most well known and most trusted online transaction companies in the world. Here are a few reasons why Central uses PayPal:

  • More than 100,000 nonprofit organizations use PayPal to raise money online.
  • PayPal has more than 60 million active account holders worldwide.
  • PayPal has built a reputation of trust, security, and respect in the market place. Online purchasers know and trust PayPal.
  • Provides donors with a safe, secure, and convenient way to donate online without sharing any financial information with the church.
  • Donors may use their personal PayPal account to donate online. Donors who do not have a PayPal account may donate using their debit or credit card.
  • PayPal—NOT CENTRAL—is responsible and liable for the security of the transaction and financial information of the donors.

Can I make a one-time gift?
Yes, you can make a one-time gift (Donate button) or set up a recurring gift (Pledge button).

If I make a recurring gift, what are my options for the frequency of my gift and when will they be processed?
Recurring gifts can only be set up on a weekly basis. These funds will be automatically drafted from your debit card, credit card, or PayPal account every week.

What if I want to cancel or change my online giving?
To change your online giving at any time, you should contact the church office at 276-669-3157 or email Laura White, our Finance Director.

How will I know if my gift was received?
After your transaction has processed successfully, your web browser will automatically be directed to a confirmation page thanking you for your online gift. If the transaction is not successful, your web browser will automatically be redirected to a failed transaction page. Failed transactions will need to be resubmitted. If you continue experiencing failed transactions, please report this problem to Laura White, our Finance Director.

Can I view my giving history online?
Your past giving history will not be available online. However, the church will maintain a record of your online giving which will be mailed to you at the end of the year.

Can I get a receipt for my online gift?
After you submit your gift information, a confirmation email will be sent to you. This is considered a valid receipt. In addition, your gift will appear on your regular giving statement.

Will my online giving count toward my pledge?
Yes, all online giving will be credited toward your pledge amount unless you specifically request that we use the funds for other purposes such as Habitat for Humanity or Bristol Faith and Action.

What forms of payment can I use?
PayPal accepts both debit and credit cards. (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover)

If I have more questions, who should I call?

Online Giving PDF Print E-mail

Central would like to invite our members and friends to take advantage of a new opportunity to give online. Giving via the church’s website is designed to be quick, easy and secure. Online giving will not replace the traditional means the church uses to receive donations via the offertory in worship. The online giving option is being offered as a matter of convenience for those who are unable to attend worship or prefer to give online. You may give to any area of the church’s work and ministry by specifying how we should allocate the funds. Simply click the "Tell us how you want donation used" button and let us know the area of the church’s budget you want the funds applied. You may also specify that the funds be used for special projects and offerings such as Habitat for Humanity or any of the church’s other benevolent ministries. Central uses PayPal as our online giving resource; however you do not need a PayPal account to donate online. Non-PayPal users may donate using their debit or credit card.

Before giving, we encourage you to read through the Online Giving FAQ page. Many of the questions you may have will be answered there. If you still have questions, please contact Laura White, our Finance Director or call the church office 276-669-3157.

Thank you for supporting the mission and ministry of Central!
