Youth Schedule PDF Print E-mail

In the interest of providing a safe and secure environment for students, and as part of Central’s security action plan, the following security measures have been put in place for all Sunday night youth programming:

Security Measures
Sunday Night Meeting Schedule
Pick-up Times

Security Measures

  • The only door leading into the church that will be unlocked at any time on Sunday night is the single door, under the portico, leading into the church office.
  • Under no circumstances should any other exterior door be unlocked and remain unlocked, this includes: Double doors leading into the narthex, the Kitchen door, etc.
  • No exterior door may be left propped open for any reason.
  • Parents providing the Sunday night dinner will be able to use the kitchen door, but it must not be propped open to carry in food and it must be locked after food is carried in. If you need help getting food into the building please let us know—we are glad to help.
  • The single door leading into the church office will be locked after the Sunday night programming begins. The locked/unlocked schedule for the evening is as follows:

Sunday Night Meeting Schedule

Youth praise team will not meet during the summer.

6:00-7:00 PM: Middle and high school meeting FUSION —Door unlocked at 6:45 and locked at 7:05

Dinner will not be served during the summer months.

The locked/unlocked schedule will require the timely arrival of all students for their programming. If students are not able to arrive within the allotted time-frames, they will need to call Jason’s cell phone so we can send an adult volunteer to let them into the building. This has the potential of being very disruptive to the programming, so we ask that everyone arrive within the allotted time-frames whenever possible. If your student does not drive, please make sure they are in the building before leaving the parking lot—we don’t want anyone getting stuck outside a locked building.

We prefer students arrive early for their programming rather than staying late after their program(s) have ended. The reason for this is that, as more and more students come into the building throughout the evening, it becomes increasingly difficult to keep track of everyone. Therefore, we would also like to implement the following pick-up policy:

Pick-up Times

  • Middlers should be picked up by 7:05p.m.
  • High School students who do not drive should be picked up by 8:05 p.m.
  • Everyone, including adult leaders, should be leaving the church by 8:30 p.m.

If you have any questions about the security measures please feel free to contact Alice or Jason—we would be happy to talk to you about it.

OUR PURPOSE:

Central’s youth ministry desires to create a nurturing atmosphere where students and their families can be known, loved, cared for and accepted. Our youth ministry exists to: REACH the students in our community, to EQUIP them to develop Christ-like maturity through CARING for one another, so that they may ACCEPT the challenge of Christ’s ministry and HONOR God with their lives.

SO HOW DO WE DO THAT??
Central’s Youth ministry has a number of rich and diverse program opportunities for students in sixth through eighth and ninth through twelfth grades. The youth ministry encompasses several essential elements, which work together to help instruct and encourage students along the journey of being transformed into the image of Jesus Christ. These elements are:

  • Interactive Bible studies where students get involved in discussions and small groups.
  • Unique worship experiences in which we draw closer to God through music and prayer.
  • Service and community outreach opportunities through the church’s many mission opportunities and trips.
  • Social events where meaningful relationships are built and encouraged through games, trips, events, retreats, etc.

There are tons of new and exciting things in the works, so come get plugged-in to all that’s happening here at Central!!
