In the Sermon on the Mount Jesus said that, “where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6: 21). Central believes that God calls us to a life of faithful stewardship of our time, talents, and finances. Giving is not only an act of obedience it is also a grateful and worshipful response to God’s goodness and steadfast love.  We believe the church cannot rightly ask its members to give a tithe or offering if the church is not willing to model such generosity by doing likewise, which is why Central’s benevolence giving constitutes 14-15% of our total operating budget. Here is a quick look at our 2008 giving:
